Drone Safety

Drone operations are expanding at an unprecedented pace, creating new opportunities while also introducing complex safety and security challenges. The National Transportation Safety Organization (NTSO) is a strong advocate for responsible unmanned aircraft systems operations that protect people on the ground and in the air. We support clear and effective policies, promote pilot education and accountability, and work to ensure drones are safely integrated into the national airspace alongside commercial and general aviation. NTSO also advances efforts related to detection and mitigation technologies, including Counter Unmanned Aircraft Systems, to address misuse and emerging threats. Through training, outreach, and collaboration with public safety agencies and industry partners, we are committed to building a safer future for drone operations nationwide.
